The Day Appeal

The DAY (Dollar a Year) Appeal was started in 2005.  It is an appeal to students, graduates, teachers, and staff for a personal contribution of $1.00 for each year of attendance or employment at Saint Ursula School.  This fund goes directly to the scholarship programs described below.  For students and graduates, it would be no more than $9 a year, while many teachers and staff have been around a lot longer! Please send your contribution to the DAY Appeal today. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for Saint Ursula School.  God is Good!!!

Class News

Congratulation to the class of 1969 who celebrated their 40th anniversary with a reunion in the fall of 2009.  A fun time was had by all who attended.

Congratulations to the classes of 1978, 1979, and 1980 who met for a combined reunion in December.  Mr. Behrendt was warmly welcomed by the classes as he remembered them in his 8th grade classes.

Prayers Requested

Rev. Msgr. Myles J. McGowan    passed away on August 29, 2009.  He served as pastor from 1967 - 1987.

Frederick N. Rasmussen | September 2, 2009
Monsignor Myles J. McGowan, the oldest priest in the Archdiocese of Baltimore and pastor of St. Ursula's Roman Catholic Church in Parkville for more than two decades, died Saturday of a stroke at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium. He was 96. "He was thoroughly a priest and was the patriarch of the archdiocese. He was well-regarded and loved by priests both young and old," said Bishop William C. Newman, a friend of 55 years. "He had a practical common sense that he was noted for. He was willing to move forward with the church, and it must have been difficult for him after Vatican II, but he did it," Bishop Newman said.

Alan Hahn passed away on October 14, 2009.  He was instrumental in the St. Ursula Basketball Tournament.
