The week of December 18th- December 21st 

We will not have homework this week since it will be a crazy week!

I am still looking for decorated boxes for the students cards (I am missing 3 of them). Students need to bring in their cards by tomorrow!

Christmas Add-ons all week but NO Christmas hats or headbands until Thursday. 



We will take a break from the reading series this week. We will read “Christmas Opposites,”in order to match pictures of opposites. We will work on our beginning sounds. We will read, “Mooseltoe,” in order to work on our reading comprehension and sequencing skills. We will review and work on our short A words. We will read,”Llama Llama holiday drama,” in order to work on our rhyming skills.
We will work on our sight words this week.

Sight words; I, Like, the, can, and, see, we, a, to, come, me


We will finish our unit on measurement.  We will work on nonstandard weight using a class scale to weigh things in order to find the heaviest and lightest. We will work on capacity in order to find what holds more and holds less. We will work on our nonstandard measuring using linking cubes.


We will write our first names Kindergarten style. We will practice writing our sight word; I, like, can, the, and, see, we, a, to, come, me. We will continue to write our numbers 0-10.


The children will learn of the Annunciation. The children will understand the meaning of nativity, being born. We will continue to talk about the Christmas Story.

Social Studies:

We will continue to travel around the world this week learning about Christmas in other countries.

Computer Class: 

The kids created Gingerbread Glyphs:

*Gym-Mondays Spanish- Tuesdays Music & Library- Wednesday Computer- Thursday Art-Friday


Dec. 20th- Special Lunch & exchange Xmas Cards (Baby Jesus Birthday Celebration)

Dec. 21st- 1/2 day–> Students may wear PJ’s or Christmas Attire. Extended day will be closing at 3:00

Christmas Break–> Dec. 22nd-Jan.1st
