Happy and safe summer to all!
How many books have you read so far this summer?
This is a reminder about the change in uniform shoes that I sent to families on June 2. There are no buckle shoes. Students in grades K-2 can wear a solid black or brown non-scuff tie or velcro shoe. All other grades wear a solid brown or black tie shoe. No loafers. All shoes must be cut BELOW the ankle.
There is a change in the calendar that I sent earlier. The first long week end is October 8-10.
.The school office is open every Tuesday from 8AM to 3PM.
This is a reminder to parents of 8th grade students that 9/29 and 10/15 aredays that we scheduled for Shadow days for our 8th graders. You need to call the high schools and ask to have your children shadow at their school on one of the days. Most high schools will only accommodate a certain number of students so the sooner you call the better your chance of getting in on one of the days.
We had 6 school families as sellers and 2 as winners in the Lucky 1500 raffle. Some folks have tickets out and the sooner they are returned the better chance of winning. We still need people to sell some of the tickets that we have left so that this will be a successful fund raiser. We dropped both the Magazine drive in Sept. and the Wrapping paper sale in November so we can focus on just the main three: Lucky 1500 summer and fall and again winter and spring, Harvest Festival in October and Race for Education in the spring.
The Hair cut a thon scheduled for September 19 has been changed to September 12. Time is 12-5 and hair stylists are needed to help!
