Parish, Home and School Association (PHSA)

St. Ursula School PHSA

The Parish, Home and School Association board is here to serve as a liaison between the school, the church, and the families. The motto of the PHSA is, “Working in our faith ~ For our children ~ Toward our future”. This truly expresses our mission of creating a welcoming atmosphere for all families to come together to help St. Ursula School and all of its students. The PHSA sponsors educational seminars for parents, social gatherings for families to get together to know each other better, as well as organizing fundraising efforts to help keep St. Ursula’s tuition one of the lowest in the Archdiocese. The PHSA is volunteer driven, so we are always looking for the St. Ursula community to get involved and help. Come join us ~ we look forward to seeing you around St. Ursula School!

Race for Education

This year, St. Ursula School will be holding our 8th Annual Race for Education.  On Friday ~ April 22, 2016, the students will be participating in this fun event which raises much-needed funds to continue to provide a quality education and affordable tuition at St. Ursula School.  The success of the Race for Education has been increasing steadily over the years.  It was St. Ursula’s biggest fundraiser last school year raising over $90,000!  We were able to use the money raised with the Race to continue to increase and update our technology throughout the school.

St. Ursula family participation is essential to the success of this event.  Each student will raise funds by sending out Sponsor Letters to family, friends, and area businesses asking sponsors to contribute a tax-deductible donation to St. Ursula School.  Then, on April 24th, the children will have the chance to walk or jog around a “race course” set up in the school parking lot.  Prizes and awards are given out on Race Day based on a student’s level of participation.

St Ursula School WILL reach its goal of 100% participation to raise even more if we all work together!  We will be sending out more information as the year progresses, but we wanted to make sure that you mark your calendar for April 22, 2016.  We encourage you to come and cheer for the children and see how excited they are to be a part of making SUS the BEST school!
